Book Swap (2022)
A casual community meet-up where South Asian women came together to share their favourite reads, chat and enjoy a cup of chai!
SASS x Jaspreet Kaur (2022)
A series of roundtables celebrating her book Brown Girl Like Me and exploring the experiences of brown women in online activism.
South Asian Mental Health Festival (2021)
This was the first mental health festival for the South Asian community that we ran in collaboration with Taraki, Desi Minds and Expert by Experience. We hosted a series of workshops, activities and panels exploring mental health from a South Asian perspective.
A Zine on Resilience (2020)
We co-edited an online Zine with The Rights Collective that included over 40 South Asian women’s written pieces on their perspectives on resilience.
Lost Histories (2019)
An in-person panel event that spotlighted the often neglected histories of South Asian women in the UK – including the Grunwick Protests, East Asian African diaspora and Bengali resistance in the East End.
SASS x Tara Arts Theatre (2019)
A sell out theatre show where 8 community members performed their pieces inspired by Meera Syal’s “Life Isn’t All Ha Ha Hee Hee”.
